Product Description
A ready-to-use, energy dense, shot-style oral nutritional supplement. A protein-free, long chain triglyceride fat emulsion.
Features
- Energy dense (4.5kcal/ml, 135kcal per 30ml shot): to support patients with high energy requirements and/or fluid restriction.
- Can be used alongside other ONS^ and/or usual diet: to support energy intake when usual diet is not enough to meet requirements.
- Can be administered as a low volume energy supplement or energy enhancer in tube feeds.
- Suitable for dispensing as a shot-style ONS^ during medication rounds: for improved ONS^ compliance compared to standard multi-nutrient ONS^.1
- No Added Protein or Fibre: suitable for individuals requiring protein and/or residue restricted diets.
- Can be mixed into foods and fluids: for patient convenience and variety.
- User-friendly bottle: ergonomic plastic bottle, with resealable easy to open cap.
Indications
For the dietary management of:
• condition-related malnutrition.
• Patients with high energy requirements.
• Patients with a poor compliance to standard multi-nutrient ONS^.
• Patients requiring a fluid or volume restriction.
• Patients requiring an electrolyte and/or mineral restriction.
• Patients requiring a protein restriction.
• Patients requiring a residue restriction.
Important Notice
• Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
• Not for parenteral use.
• Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
• Use with caution in children under 6 years of age.
• Flavoured Calogen (strawberry) is not suitable for infants and children under 3 years of age. Product may need diluting in patients under 5 years of age.
• Neutral Calogen may require dilution for use in patients under 5 years of age.
• Must be used under premium supervision.
Direction for Use
• Shake well before use.
• Usage to be determined by a healthcare professional.
• Recommended intake: 3 x 30ml Calogen per day e.g decanted during medication rounds, unless otherwise specified by a healthcare professional.
Storage
• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Not suitable for freezing.
• Once opened, close the bottle and store in a refrigerator for a maximum of 14 days.
• Discard unused contents after 14 days.
Returns & Refunds
Authorization: All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which you can obtain by contacting us. This process is for logistical purposes only, ensuring the correct return address is provided and your refund is processed quickly. A valid return request made within 14 days of delivery will not be refused authorization.
Condition: Returned goods must be in their original, unused condition. Packaged goods must be unopened, unmarked, and in a re-sellable condition due to hygiene regulations.
Special Orders: Special-order items (non-stock items ordered specifically for you) cannot be accepted for return under any circumstances.
Timeframe: All returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
